For thirty years I've been on my spiritual path with the Kundalini Shakti and for nine of those years I was privileged to live in an ashram in India. By nature I'm a bit of a hermit and living communally for that time gave me discipline and tools to understand myself, my relationships and motives. I've lived in California, New York, Arizona and alone in a one-room cabin without electricity in Kentucky. As well as owning my own business, I worked in hospitals, an HMO, a fertility clinic, earned a MS in Counseling and volunteered for Hospice.

Currently I'm enjoying life in a university community in Kansas, closer to my family. The landscape here offers long views and broad empty spaces, similar to the desert. There is a subtle aura here which requires quiet and stillness to appreciate.

My approach to working with someone is what I call "deep listening." I believe we all have inner resources of strength and resiliency which can help us through difficult times. We can connect with this inner aspect by taking a step back from the current emotions and events to gain a perspective of how the current dilemma fits into the pattern of our lives.
